The New Orleans Saints are currently languishing in fourth place in the NFC South table.

Dennis Allen's side have won just three games this season while suffering seven defeats heading into Week 11.

The Saints have a very slim chance of qualifying for the playoffs, especially after their defeat to the Pittsburgh Steelers on Sunday.

According to reports, New Orleans has a mere 6% chance of making it to the postseason.

The Saints have struggled to get their act right this season. Moreover, the absence of quarterback Jameis Winston due to injury since Week 3 has put New Orleans in further danger of not making it to the playoffs.

The Saints finished second in the NFC South with a 9-8 record last season. Despite a winning season, New Orleans failed to make it to the playoffs.

They began their campaign with a 5-2 record but then fell into a five-game losing streak after losing quarterback Jameis Winston due to an ACL injury in Week 8.

It was the first season since 2005 that the Saints played without veteran quarterback Drew Brees. Brees retired in 2020 and Winston has taken over as the starting quarterback for the Saints ever since.

New Orleans Saints schedule for remaining regular season games:

  • Rams vs Saints - Sunday, November 20
  • Saints vs 49ers - Sunday, November 27
  • Saints vs Buccaneers - Monday, December 5
  • Falcons vs Saints - Sunday, December 18
  • Saints vs Browns - Saturday, December 24
  • Saints vs Eagles - Sunday, January 1
  • Panthers vs Saints - Sunday, January 8

The Saints will not have an easy run of fixtures to close out the second half of the regular season. Getting past the struggling Los Angeles Rams will be easy. However, besting opponents like the San Francisco 49ers, Tampa Bay Buccaneers, and Philadelphia Eagles will be a heavy ask. Getting by a Deshaun Watson-led Cleveland Browns outfit will also be tough.

Nonetheless, they still have a statistical probability of qualifying for the playoffs.
