Week 2 of the 2024 fantasy football season has arrived and all managers should be looking to optimize their lineups. Some of them may be deciding between Chris Olave, DeVonta Smith, and Zay Flowers for one of their wide receiver spots. Here's which one makes for the best pick this week.

Chris Olave got off to an extremely disappointing start to the 2024 fantasy football season. Despite the New Orleans Saints dominating the Carolina Panthers, he recorded just two receptions for 11 yards. This was a shocking result, considering he has finished each of his two fantasy seasons among the top 25 wide receivers.

He will get his first opportunity to bounce back in Week 2, but it won't be easy against the Dallas Cowboys' elite defense. On the brighter side, he will likely be matched up against Trevon Diggs, who records a ton of interceptions, but often allows his assignment to be productive also.

Is DeVonta Smith a good fantasy pick in Week 2?

DeVonta Smith has finished among the top 30 fantasy football wide receivers in all three of his seasons with the Philadelphia Eagles so far. He has done so despite their WR2 behind A.J. Brown and was productive again in Week 1 of this season, catching seven of his eight targets for 84 yards.

Smith will look to keep things rolling in Week 2 against the Atlanta Falcons. This is a challenging matchup against a tough defense that held the Pittsburgh Steelers to just 156 passing yards last week.

Is Zay Flowers a good fantasy pick in Week 2?

Zay Flowers turned in a solid rookie season with the Baltimore Ravens last year, finishing as the WR29 in fantasy football. He was busy in his first game this year, including six receptions on 10 targets, but it resulted in just 37 receiving yards.

Week 2 will be Flowers' first opportunity to be more efficient with his touches and it will come in a favorable matchup against the Las Vegas Raiders. The Ravens are one of the biggest favorites of the week, so he may also find more scoring opportunities.

Olave, Smith and Flowers all struggled to live up to their high expectations in Week 1 of the 2024 fantasy football. Their successful history suggests that they are all bounce-back candidates in Week 2, but Chris Olave is the best pick for starting lineups.
