Clyde Edwards-Helaire's fantasy outlook appears to be trending in the wrong direction. It will certainly be interesting to see what the Kansas City Chiefs do with their running backs after the bye week. Edwards-Helaire has handled most of the red zone duties thus far, but Week 9 may see a change.Edwards-Helaire might even maintain fantasy worth as a backup in a cooperative backfield of a dynamic offense. As a result, many fantasy managers have held onto him after he lost the starting role and then had a bye week.He has only seen double-digit carries once this season and received six carries in his last game. However, he did score on one of them. The Tennessee Titans (who have allowed the second-fewest rushing yards and the fifth-fewest fantasy points to running backs) will be the Chiefs' opponent in Week 9.For this one, he's a real risk and should only be used in fantasy if you have no other options. Without scoring a touchdown, Clyde Edwards-Helaire’s output will likely lose you your matchup. We recommend benching him until he proves himself.Clyde Edwards-Helaire's stats and fantasy predictionBuffalo Bills v Kansas City ChiefsWith only six carries for 32 yards in Week 7, Edwards-Helaire played a season-low 27 percent of the snaps. In his last two matchups, he didn't see a single target. The Titans have only allowed two total touchdowns to running backs and have not surrendered a rushing score since Week 1. The Titans are in the top two in terms of EPA per rush, explosive run rate, and rushing yards per game.Nathan Jahnke@PFF_NateJahnkeMost fantasy points per snap by a RB (PPR)1.Jamaal Williams - .592.Austin Ekeler - .563.Nick Chubb - .544.Derrick Henry - .535.Khalil Herbert - .516.Breece Hall - .507.Clyde Edwards-Helaire - .488t.Christian McCaffrey - .468t.D'Andre Swift - .4610.Tony Pollard - .4541913Most fantasy points per snap by a RB (PPR)1.Jamaal Williams - .592.Austin Ekeler - .563.Nick Chubb - .544.Derrick Henry - .535.Khalil Herbert - .516.Breece Hall - .507.Clyde Edwards-Helaire - .488t.Christian McCaffrey - .468t.D'Andre Swift - .4610.Tony Pollard - .45Owners should wait and see how the Kansas City Chiefs' backfield develops after the break. Isiah Pacheco, Edwards-Helaire, and Jerick McKinnon will likely share the field in a manner that hurts fantasy managers.Pacheco started against the San Francisco 49ers in Week 7, although he only got eight carries for 43 yards. Edwards-Helaire recorded 32 yards and a touchdown, while McKinnon gained 12 yards rushing and 36 yards on two catches.Clyde Edwards-Helaire produced another TD on a 16-yard rush despite being dropped to RB2 on paper in favor of Isiah Pacheco. With eight touchdowns in seven matchups, Edwards-Helaire's touchdown record is good, but his decreasing snap count is very bad. While the Chiefs' offensive production is tremendous, relying on any of these backs in fantasy looks like folly.
