Derek Carr has grown accustomed to being thrown around by huge defensive linemen in his nine seasons in the NFL.

Before playing in the league, the 31-year-old quarterback was tossed around by someone close to him, his brother Darren Carr. In a 2015 interview on the "Dan LeBatard Show," Carr shared how his older brother David pulled a prank on him growing up.

Carr explained how David pranked him when he was around 10 or 11 years old. David got Derek to slap Darren, a 6-foot-6, 320-pound defensive lineman, in the face. Needless to say, It didn’t end well. Here's what Carr said:

"Dave didn't even help me. He just watched Darren grab me and throw me through the wall."

While David may have gotten the upper hand on his younger brother, Derek got the last laugh when it comes to their respective NFL careers. David was selected by the Houston Texans as the number one overall pick in the 2002 draft.

The elder Carr played 10 seasons in the league, four of which were with the Texans. In his rookie season, he was sacked 76 times, the most in an NFL season all-time.

Derek Carr was taken in the second round of the 2014 draft by the then-Oakland Raiders. In nine seasons with the Raiders, he's the franchise's all-time leader in passing yards (35,222) and touchdowns (217). Both David and Derek have shared a level of success in the NFL, but what about their younger brother Darren?

Did Derek Carr's brother Darren play in the NFL?

Although Darren Carr tossed his brother Derek against the wall, he never played a down in the NFL.

In 2015, the middle brother of the four-time Pro Bowler was named the head football coach at Bakersfield Christian High School in California. David joined his brother Darren as offensive coordinator as well. Darren did play at the University of Houston for four games back in 2002.

One thing is for sure: Derek Carr means a lot to his brothers, even if he was once thrown through a wall by one of them.
