Last week, Denver lost 35-33 at home to the Washington Commanders, and in Week 1, the Broncos lost 17-16 at home to the Las Vegas Raiders.

Miami, meanwhile, is coming off a 36-34 road win over the Los Angeles Chargers in Week 1 and followed that up with a 24-17 road win over the New England Patriots.

Entering their home opener, the Dolphins are banged up as Jaylen Waddle is in concussion protocol while Jaelen Phillips is also dealing with a back injury. However, head coach Mike McDaniel spoke to the media and said he isn't too concerned about the injuries.

“There are plenty of players who can make plays on the team. I don’t worry nearly as much as you think about what we don’t have. It’s 100 percent what we do and how to problem solve for that. We move on to what we can feature.”

Denver Broncos vs. Miami Dolphins prediction

The Miami Dolphins are -6.5-point favorites and the over/under is set at 48.

The Denver Broncos entered this year with a lot more promise as it is the second season with Russell Wilson under center, and the Broncos went out and hired Sean Payton as their new head coach.

However, Denver has struggled as last week against Washington, the defense fell apart in the second half as the Commanders were able to score 21 points.

Miami, meanwhile, has one of the best offenses in all of football, but with the possibility of Waddle not playing, that will hurt their offense, as Denver could potentially double-team Tyreek Hill.

The Broncos have yet to play 60 full minutes, and against this high-flying offense in Miami, Denver's defense will struggle.

Prediction: Miami 31, Denver 20
