Tom Brady teaming up with Sean Payton a real possibility, Buccaneers reporter claims

Tom Brady is headed for a very interesting offseason. He could retire again, for good this time, but he could also join whatever team he wants as he will be a free agent.

Many NFL insiders think he might go to the New England Patriots, the San Francisco 49ers, the Las Vegas Raiders or even the Miami Dolphins.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers reporter Rick Stroud said there's another team to be wary of on the Sports Day Tampa Bay podcast:

"Remember Sean Payton was the coach that Tom Brady wanted to join in Miami when all that fell apart and the Dolphins ended up getting charged with tampering and Steven Ross was suspended etc.?"

He continued:

"Well, Sean Payton is talked about going back to coaching next year... there's buzz about Sean Payton returning to New Orleans with Brady. And they would join each other with the Saints. He would come back to the team he just left with Tom Brady in the NFC South and play against Tampa Bay."

He added:

"I'm just telling you, don't discount that rumor...But if he wants to play for Sean Payton, then Sean Payton has to find a job. And it's got to be a place that Tom Brady you know, is acceptable to if they're gonna join each other.... Now he could potentially be returning to Raymond James as a New Orleans Saint. How weird would that be?"

This offseason could be very interesting, with several teams vying for Brady's services after he likely leaves the Buccaneers.

The best fit for Brady is somewhere with an offensive-minded head coach and good weapons. He's shown he can't exactly thrive anymore without that.

It will be interesting to see where the legendary QB ends up if he does decide to play next season.
