Atlanta Falcons wide receiver Drake London logged his second consecutive limited practice participation on Thursday. Head coach Raheem Morris had already stated on Monday that the star receiver is considered day-to-day.
While it's a good sign that London, who suffered a hip injury in the win over the Dallas Cowboys last weekend, has been participating in practice at all, he might need to improve his practice volume on Friday.
If Drake London is able to practice fully on Friday, he will have a bigger chance of playing when the Falcons play on the road against the New Orleans Saints on Sunday.
Raheem Morris stated that he "felt really good" about London's condition at his media appearance on Wednesday, suggesting that the wideout's injury is not serious. However, it's crucial for fantasy managers to monitor his performance at Friday's practice, since this will probably provide a more accurate picture of his availability for Week 10.
Drake London's injury update: What happened to the Falcons' WR?
Drake London suffered a hip injury after jumping over cornerback Trevon Diggs to collect a nine-yard touchdown pass from quarterback Kirk Cousins late in the first quarter against the Dallas Cowboys on Sunday.
The injury came as London hit the ground following the catch. He remained on the sidelines until halftime, when he was finally ruled out for the remainder of the game.
Drake London's injury is a hip pointer, according to head coach Raheem Morris' comments on Monday. He said that they will keep an eye on him all week to see how well he will recover.
London recorded only "limited" practice participations on Wednesday and Thursday to start the week. Although he was reportedly spotted running routes at Thursday's open practice, he didn't appear to be flowing as he usually is.
On Thursday, Drake London informed reporters that his injury is a "day-by-day thing." In addition, he stated that he would be more than happy to take part in Week 10 against the New Orleans Saints "if they're willing to let me play.”
If London will be carrying any injury designation into the weekend to suit up on Sunday against New Orleans, it will be made clear by Friday's final injury report.
London has been the Falcons' top receiver this season, hauling in 50 passes for 552 yards and six touchdowns. After nine weeks in the season, he has already tied his 2022 and 2023 seasons combined total of six touchdowns.
