Looking back on Nick Foles' rollercoaster career

The journeyman quarterback was drafted by the Philadelphia Eagles in the 3rd round of the 2012 NFL Draft. Working with Andy Reid in Philadelphia to start his career, Foles threw for a one-time record-setting 27 touchdowns and two interceptions during an 8-2 run.
While many expected greater things on the horizon for Foles, he took the scenic route to his next high. Following a 6-2 run in 2014 in which he threw for 13 touchdowns and 10 interceptions, Foles left the Eagles. After a one-season stint with the St. Louis Rams and Kansas City Chiefs, Foles returned to a Reid-less Eagles team.
During that time, he won Super Bowl LII as a late-season stand-in for Carson Wentz, who missed the end of the campaign due to injury. Despite walking into a seemingly hopeless situation, Foles defeated everyone, including Tom Brady, to hoist the Lombardi Trophy in one of the most unlikely tales in NFL history.
Following that success, he bounced around the league and played for the Jaguars, Bears, and Colts. Foles missed the 2023 season.
Nick Foles' career earnings

According to Spotrac, Foles earned roughly $87 million throughout his career, across six different teams. If he managed to save just two percent of his total earnings, he could have enough for a baseline retirement.
Should Foles decide to continue filling his time with work in the future, he has plenty of life force to give. Will Nick Foles follow in the footsteps of other former quarterbacks by joining the media?
