Week 8 of the 2024 fantasy football season has arrived and managers may begin working on their lineups. They would be wise to analyze all of their available options by breaking down their recent performances and weekly matchups, among other factors. Here are some of the best players to target and fade this week.
Early Fantasy Football Week 8 Start 'Em picks
Brian Robinson Jr. has been having an excellent 2024 fantasy football season with the Washington Commanders. He currently ranks as the overall RB14 this year and has finished as the RB22 or better in all six of his games. He is a solid running back to target in Week 8 fantasy football lineups against the Chicago Bears, who defend the pass much better than the rush.
He is joined by David Montgomery, who currently ranks as the RB11 entering Week 8 of the 2024 season. His six touchdowns are one of the main reasons for his success, as well as recording at least 70 scrimmage yards in every game this year. Despite a tough matchup against the Tennessee Titans, he is a reliable lineup option.

Early Fantasy Football Week 8 Sit 'Em picks
Jaylen Waddle has been massively disappointing during the 2024 fantasy football season so far. Following his solid WR finish in the first week of the year, he has ranked outside of the top 40 wide receivers in all of his other games. He is a clear fade in Week 8, despite a favorable matchup when the Miami Dolphins take on the Arizona Cardinals.
Sportskeeda's Who Should I Start tool also recommends avoiding JuJu Smith-Schuster in Week 8 against the Las Vegas Raiders. He recorded a season-high WR14 finish two weeks ago, but has totaled just 17 yards across his other five games this season.
UPDATE: Smith-Schuster has been ruled out for Week 8 with a hamstring injury.
