Evan Engram contract details with Jaguars

Atlanta Falcons v New York Giants
Jacksonville Jaguars tight end Evan Engram.

Evan Engram is an American footballer who plays the tight end position for the Jacksonville Jaguars. Engram is a starter for the Jaguars, his second NFL team since being drafted by the New York Giants in the 2017 NFL Draft.

A first-round pick, Engram has been one of the better players in his position since joining the league, and this year is fair proof of that. He signed a contract with the Jaguars in the 2021 offseason.

Regarding Engram's contract, the sixth-year pro is earning $9,000,000 for one year to catch passes from Trevor Lawrence. This salary is within his deserved pay grade, with Engram being one of the top 10 and borderline top five receivers in the league.

His contract lasts for a year, with both he and the Jaguars being able to renegotiate at the end of the 2022 NFL season. Evan Engram has captivated Jacksonville fans in all 13 appearances this season.

Evan Engram's fantasy outlook

Evan Engram has always been a tight-end fantasy favorite. He ticks a lot of boxes and the guy can flat-out dominate the opposition. These qualities made him the lead tight end for the New York Giants for five straight years. After that, it looked like he was underappreciated, so he moved to Jacksonville, and he's still that guy.

In the Jaguars' week 14 blowout win against the Tennessee Titans, Engram led the Jags in receptions, targets and receiving yards. The Ole Miss alum had what could be described as a perfect day at the office. Of course, it's not every time that Engram pulls down two touchdowns and receives for 162 yards, but we sure aren't complaining.

How is Evan Engram performing this season?

Engram is playing with a new lease of life in Jacksonville, and the sixth-year Pro looks super happy with the Jaguars. The contract he signed is essential to prove to the league that he's worth the big bucks, and so far, he's doing just that.

In 13 games, Engram has 53 receptions, 548 receiving yards and four touchdowns. He is giving other top TEs a run for their money, and that pressure will only get bigger from the Ole Miss alum.
