The Chiefs and the Falcons will face off in Week 3 of the 2024 NFL season and both teams will be looking to carry their form from last week into this match. Kansas City has opened with two consecutive wins and both came against potential AFC playoff contenders. They beat the Ravens in the opening round before taking care of business against the Bengals. Their 2-0 record reads well as they try to win the Super Bowl for a third consecutive year.

The Falcons opened the season with a loss against the Steelers. But they rebounded in Week 2 with a victory over the Eagles. The last-minute winning drive by Kirk Cousins will make Atlanta fans feel good. Here is how the personnel stack up going into the game.

Kansas City Chiefs injury report

The Chiefs listed five players on their injury report. The majority of the players are on defense with tackles Derrick Nnadi and Mike Pennel facing triceps and groin injuries respectively. Corner Nazeeh Johnson has some issues with his hamstring and defensive end Mike Danna is battling a quad niggle. On offense, Xavier Worthy is also getting over some problems with his quad.

Isiah Pacheco's injury status

One player not mentioned on the injury report is running back Isiah Pacheco. He would normally be top of the depth chart in his position but he has been placed on injured reserve. He is expected to be out for six to eight weeks, with an even longer spell on the sidelines possible. He fractured his fibula and underwent surgery this week.

Xavier Worthy's injury status

With Isiah Pacheco's absence, the passing game will likely become more important. Xavier Worthy was the only one who was listed on the injury report from offense with a quad problem. However, he participated in full practice all three days and does not have a game designation, which indicates he will play.

Mike Danna's injury status

On defense, the Chiefs have a few concerns but Mike Danna is the one to look out for. He is battling a quad issue and there are depth concerns behind him with Charles Omenihu and BJ Thompson both ruled out. However, he too participated in full practice throughout the week and has no game designation. That is true for all other players mentioned on the injury report too.

Atlanta Falcons injury report

The Falcons listed six players on the injury report. Three of them were for non-injury-related reasons. Left tackle Jake Matthews, and defensive linemen David Onyemata and Grady Jarrett were given Wednesday and Thursday off. The latter two did not practice on Friday either, while the former was limited.

Running back Tyler Allgeier and defensive lineman James Smith-Williams are battling hip issues and cornerback Antonio Hamilton Sr. has a groin problem. We focus on them in more detail below.

Tyler Allgeier's injury status

Unlike Isiah Pacheco's issue for the Chiefs, Tyler Allgeier is not the starting running back for the Falcons. That distinction belongs to Bijan Robinson but he has seen the field in both their opening games. He was limited in practice on Wednesday before participating in full practice on Thursday and Friday. He has no game designation and should play on Sunday.

Antonio Hamilton Sr.'s injury status

Antonio Hamilton Sr. faced a groin injury that kept him limited in practice on Wednesday. However, he too was fine enough to participate in full practice on Thursday and Friday and should feature in the match.

James Smith-Williams' injury status

James Smith-Williams had a hip issue that limited him in practice on both Wednesday and Thursday. However, he recovered sufficiently to make it to full practice on Friday. He also does not have a game designation and is slated to play.
