Green Bay enters the new NFL season on the back of a promising 2023 campaign that saw the Packers reach the NFC Divisional Playoffs.
A 9-8 record was good enough for 2nd in the NFC North, and the team moved on to upset the Dallas Cowboys with a 48-32 victory in the NFC wild-card game.
Veteran running back Aaron Jones was the main departure from Green Bay during the offseason, joining NFC North rivals the Minnesota Vikings after spending all seven of his NFL seasons with the Packers.
With Jones gone, there's opportunities for other offensive stars to shine in 2024, raising the question as to who will be the Packers' best fantasy football assets this year.
Packers' best fantasy assets in 2024
#5 - Romeo Doubs, WR
During his second NFL season Romeo Doubs showed significant improvement alongside QB Jordan Love, catching 69 receptions on 105 targets for a total of 908 yards and 9 TDs.
Doubs' numbers prove he's got an excellent rapport with his QB, and despite a crowded wideout room containing Christian Watson, Dontayvion Wicks and Jayden Reed, Doubs could be a bargain sleeper option in fantasy football with his ADP of #127 overall.
#4 - Christian Watson, WR
A hamstring injury ruined any momentum Christian Watson could get going in 2023 during his second NFL season as the 25-year-old played in just nine games and wasn't fully healthy for any of them.
However, during his rookie year in 2022 Watson proved how he can be the first option in this offense, ending the year as the joint leader in most rookie touchdowns with six.
Reports regarding Watson's hamstring have been positive, and if he can get back to full health, his ADP of #97 overall could be a league-winning pickup in the latter rounds of drafts.
#3 - Jayden Reed, WR
Completing the trio of Packers wide receivers with fantasy football value in 2024 is Jayden Reed. As a rookie last year, Reed became Green Bay's primary slot receiver, totaling 793 yards and eight touchdowns on 64 receptions, with an additional 119 yards and two TDs on the ground.
Reed developed a great rapport with QB Jordan Love, earning a 27% target share, as well as gaining the most fantasy points per game out of all Packers wideouts. Expect Reed and Love to continue to flourish in 2024, and Reed's ADP seems like a bargain at #77 overall.
#2 - Jordan Love, QB
Packers QB Jordan Love had a breakout season in 2023, establishing himself as a true franchise quarterback. Love ended the season as QB5 in fantasy points per game, passing for 4,159 yards and 32 touchdowns, and adding four more scores in run plays.
In fantasy football terms, Love's ADP of #71 overall could prove to be a bargain as if you wait to draft him you can prioritize skill positions and still get a QB with top-5 upside later on in your draft.
#1 - Josh Jacobs, RB
Josh Jacobs moved over to the Packers from the Las Vegas Raiders, signing a four-year, $48 million contract this offseason.
After leading the NFL with 1,653 rushing yards in 2022, Jacobs had a disappointing 2023 campaign where he missed time due to a quad strain injury in Week 13. Even before his injury Jacobs was performing poorly, coming in at 37th in missed tackles forced per attempt, and 44th in yards after contact per attempt amongst qualifying RBs, according to Fantasy Points Data.
Jacobs' ADP is currently at #23 overall and should be seen as a solid RB2 for your fantasy football team, with a potential RB1 upside depending on usage.
