The Houston Texans have some of the best offensive weapons in both the real-life NFL and in the fantasy football realm.

Houston comes into 2024 as one of the most exciting teams to watch having bounced back from a dismal 3-13-1 record in 2022 to finish last season at 10-7 and win the AFC South. They also won their AFC wild-card matchup against the Cleveland Browns before their season came to a halt in the AFC divisional round against the Baltimore Ravens.

The Texans kept their offensive stars from 2023 together, as well as adding some superstar talents to help them take the next step. Which of these offensive stars will be the Texans' top fantasy football assets in 2024?

The first of a trio of Texans wide receivers to make the list, Tank Dell should remain an important part of the Texans' offense in 2024.

During his rookie campaign in 2023, Dell amassed 709 yards and seven touchdowns on 47 catches in just eight starts. Dell developed an instant connection with his fellow rookie, quarterback C.J. Stroud.

Despite having his rookie season cut short due to a season-ending fibula injury, Dell should be seen as a solid flex option in fantasy football in 2023. His cheap ADP of No. 65 overall means you can get a piece of Houston's electric offense in round five or later in most fantasy leagues.

#4, C.J. Stroud, QB

Sensational Houston Texans QB C.J. Stroud should be considered one of the best fantasy football quarterbacks this year. The 2023 NFL draft's second pick won NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year honors after passing for 4,108 yards and 23 touchdowns versus just five interceptions.

As well as already having excellent offensive weapons in Tank Dell and Nico Collins, Houston upgraded that side of the ball with the acquisitions of Stefon Diggs and Joe Mixon.

Despite Stroud not possessing the rushing ability of many other top fantasy quarterbacks (167 yards, three TDs in 2023), his offensive weapons make him a premium pick.

#3, Joe Mixon, RB

The Houston Texans acquired RB Joe Mixon from the Cincinnati Bengals in what looks like a coup, but when you read between the numbers it doesn't look as promising.

Despite ending 2023 as RB11, according to fantasypros.com, he was 36th in yards per touch, 35th in yards created per touch and 41st in breakaway run rate.

Although the numbers aren't ideal, Mixon faces little competition for carries and targets in Houston's backfield, so he should still be a solid fantasy football asset this season.

#2, Stefon Diggs, WR

Another big-name signing for the Houston Texans this offseason has been wide receiver Stefon Diggs from the Buffalo Bills. A perennial Pro Bowler, Diggs joins a crowded wide receiver room that will only help sophomore quarterback C.J. Stroud.

In PPR scoring Diggs ended 2023 as WR9 ahead of the likes of Ja'Marr Chase and Davante Adams, but as the season progressed his play got progressively worse. According to fantasypros.com, after Week 10 Diggs averaged just 7.3 points and 42 receiving yards per game.

While he should command plenty of targets given his status within the game and the fact Houston restructured his contract to give him over $22 million on a one-year deal, Diggs will be 31 in November and is in a crowded receiver room.

#1, Nico Collins, WR

Nico Collins broke out in 2023 after setting career highs in receptions, yards and touchdowns. His 80 catches for 1,297 yards and eight touchdowns saw Collins finish as WR12, ahead of both Brandon Aiyuk and Michael Pittman Jr.

Collins garnished a 24% target share from QB C.J. Stroud, so despite the addition of Diggs, he should still command plenty of targets and remain an elite fantasy option.

His ADP is currently around No. 28 overall, testament to his importance to one of the best offenses in the NFL.
