The New York Jets will be hoping their 2024 season can be an improvement on their 2023 campaign, and their offensive stars can be elite fantasy football options.

The 2023 Jets had much optimism heading into the season after acquiring legendary quarterback Aaron Rodgers via trade before the season began, but he tore his Achilles tendon in Week 1 after only four snaps. The Jets had to rely on Zach Wilson and Tim Boyle for the rest of the season and could only finish with a 7-10 record, good enough for third in the AFC East.

This meant the Jets missed the playoffs for the 13th consecutive year — the longest current streak in the NFL. This raises the question as to which offensive stars can help end the drought, as well as being excellent fantasy football assets in 2024.

If you're in the market for a sneaky-good tight end who saw plenty of targets last year, Tyler Conklin could be a solid late-round pick.

Conklin's current ADP is No. 185 overall, meaning he'll likely go undrafted in most leagues, but he posted career highs in both yards and receptions while equalling his targets from 2022 (87). His average of 5.1 targets per game was better than the likes of Jonnu Smith and Gerald Everett and only slightly below Cole Kmet and Kyle Pitts.

Conklin will be hoping to develop his rapport with new QB Aaron Rodgers and will have now had two full preseasons to do so.

#4 - Aaron Rodgers, QB

If Aaron Rodgers wasn't coming off a major Achilles injury, as well as being 40 years old, he would be higher on this list.

However, we don't know how well he'll play in this Jets offense. Despite having worked with offensive coordinator Nathaniel Hackett in Green Bay, his new team is full of different weapons that Rodgers will need to jell with.

His fantasy football stats dropped during 2022 in his last season with the Packers, and he'll be 41 in December. Draft Rodgers with a plan to have a solid second-choice quarterback off the bench.

#3 - Mike Williams, WR

Newly acquired Jets WR Mike Williams signed a one-year deal to move to New York after seven seasons with the LA Chargers. Despite only hitting 1,000 twice during his tenure, no one could doubt Williams' talent in real life and in fantasy, but his injury record cost him dearly.

Williams has never started every game in a season, and in 2023 he tore his ACL after just three games — missing the rest of the year. However, when he played last year, he was WR15 and WR17 in points per game, so he still has a lot to offer.

Williams turns 30 in October and has already suffered a knee injury during the Jets' training camp so draft him with some caution.

#2 - Garrett Wilson, WR

The man Mike Williams will look to line up opposite in 2024 is star wideout Garrett Wilson. Wilson turned in his second consecutive 1,000-yard season to begin his career despite the injury to Rodgers, with 1,042 yards and four touchdowns on 95 receptions.

Wilson finished as WR26 in PPR scoring, ahead of George Pickens, Rashee Rice and Zay Flowers. Now he gets Aaron Rodgers throwing him the ball instead of Zach Wilson or Tim Boyle. Despite a high ADP of No. 10 overall, Wilson can be a league-winner.

#1 - Breece Hall, RB

Another potential league-winning fantasy football asset is Jets RB Breece Hall. Hall has been a sensation since entering the league in 2022. Despite entering 2023 recovering from injury, he finished as RB6 in fantasy points per game with 299 touches and 1,585 total yards.

Ad

Hall led all running backs in targets last year, as he was a focal point of their passing and rushing attack. He was third in yards per route run and fourth in expected fantasy points per route run, and his upward trajectory should only continue with Aaron Rodgers at quarterback.

Hall's ADP is No. 5 overall, and he should be considered one of the best fantasy football assets entering the 2024 season.
