Wide receivers make up the deepest of all NFL positions in Fantasy Football. More players in this position are capable of contributing to the starting lineup than any other. While the list of options is always long, it will be significantly shorter in Week 18 of the 2022 Fantasy Football season. Many NFL teams will be resting some of their starters or reducing their usual workloads.
This makes it more important than ever for all fantasy managers to pay close attention to each matchup this week and the NFL Playoff implications that go along with it. This will help determine which wide receivers to target and which others to avoid. Managers can't afford a low score in Week 18 as they are likely to play in their league championship in the final week of the 2022 season.
NFL Week 18 Fantasy Football Wide Receivers: Start 'Em
Zay Jones - Jacksonville Jaguars vs. Tennessee Titans
Zay Jones has shown solid chemistry with quarterback Trevor Lawrence all year on his way to being ranked WR24 in PPR scoring formats. Two of his top performances of the 2022 Fantasy Football season have come in the last four weeks, including WR1 against the Dallas Cowboys and WR7 against the Tennessee Titans.
He faces off against the Titans again in Week 18 in a winner-take-all game for the AC South division title.
Allen Lazard - Green Bay Packers vs. Detroit Lions
Allen Lazard has been a consistent veteran presence for Aaron Rodgers in the Green Bay Packers' passing game. He has recorded at least five receptions in four of his last six games. The last time he faced off against the Detroit Lions, he recorded a season-best WR9 finish in Fantasy Football. He will play against them again in Week 18 in a win-and-in game for the NFL Playoffs.
Drake London - Atlanta Falcons vs. Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Drake London has elevated his output since the Atlanta Falcons replaced quarterback Marcus Mariota with rookie Desmond Ridder. London has recorded at least five receptions in each of his last four games, while eclipsing 70 yards in three of them. He has a solid opportunity in Week 18 against a Tampa Bay Buccaneers team that will be resting most of their usual starters.
NFL Week 18 Fantasy Football Wide Receivers: Sit 'Em
Josh Palmer - Los Angeles Chargers vs. Denver Broncos
Josh Palmer had a breakout 2022 Fantasy Football season. He has recorded two top ten finishes this year, including a season-best WR3 finish against the Kansas City Chiefs in Week 11. The issue is that he's failed to finish inside the top 25 in any week since, with Keenan Allen and Mike Williams returning to full health and surpassing Palmer on the depth chart.
Darius Slayton - New York Giants vs. Philadelphia Eagles
Darius Slayton has established himself as the preferred wide receiver for Daniel Jones. This hasn't exactly resulted in solid production in Fantasy Football, as he;s recorded just two top 20 finishes this season. He's a risky option most weeks, but even more so in Week 18. The New York Giants don't have much to play for as they are locked into the sixth seed in the NFC Playoffs.
Van Jefferson - Los Angeles Rams vs. Seattle Seahawks
Van Jefferson has emerged as the top wide receiver for the Los Angeles Rams as Cooper Kupp and Allen Robinson II are currently recovering from injuries. He has still failed to exceed three receptions in any game during the 2022 Fantasy Football season so far. That's unlikely to change in Week 18 against the Seattle Seahawks. They allow the third-fewest fantasy points per game to wide receivers.
