Week 12 fantasy football tight end rankings: Sit 'Em

Jonnu Smith/Hunter Henry, New England Patriots vs. Tennessee Titans

The Titans may not have the best defense in the world, but they are very good at defending against tight ends. They are averaging only 32 yards per game and have only surrendered 3 TDs this whole season. Even with Jonnu Smith and Hunter Henry sharing their duties with the Patriots and achieving success, they should be benched this week.

The pair of tight ends only managed to log 40 yards together last game, even after the Patriots blew out the Falcons. Don't expect fireworks against the Titans' defense.

Taylor Higbee, Los Angeles Rams vs. Green Bay Packers

Taylor Higbee might seem like an alluring option at tight end this week, but the Packers' defense is sneaky good. They are especially good at stopping opposing tight ends. The Packers' defense is currently only allowing an average of 50 yards to opposing tight ends.

The Packers will likely look to correct themselves after allowing the Minnesota Vikings to beat them in an important game. Higbee might see some targets but don't expect him to get a ton of production from the catches.

Jared Cook, Los Angeles Chargers vs. Denver Broncos

Jared Cook is likely a given, being that his production has severely dived since the beginning of the season. The Chargers are also playing a Broncos defense that is #1 in defense against tight ends.

They are currently only allowing 40 yards per game on average and have not surrendered a single touchdown to tight ends this season. Bench Cook and look for another viable option on the waiver wire.
