Week 13 fantasy football wide receiver rankings: Sit 'Em

DK Metcalf, Seattle Seahawks vs. San Francisco 49ers

The Seattle Seahawks are in free-fall and DK Metcalf's production has taken a huge hit. Those who have him in fantasy football are well aware of the problems out in Seattle.

Metcalf had one catch for 13 yards Monday night against Washington. Fans were shocked and Russell Wilson looked like he might be headed on his way out of Seattle. This continues a rough stretch for Metcalf, who has not had a touchdown since Week 8.

The dominant receiver has a total of eight catches in the past three weeks and has not gone over 100 yards since Week 3. If the Seahawks offense can barely move the ball, Metcalf may be a tough bench in fantasy football this week.

DeVonta Smith, Philadelphia Eagles vs. New York Jets

The Philadelphia Eagles are getting an easy opponent this week in the New York Jets. However, the new philosophy of focusing on running the ball does not help the production of DeVonta Smith.

The rookie had only two catches for 22 yards against a weak New York Giants defense in Week 12, which does not inspire much confidence for Week 13 at such a crucial point in the fantasy football season. Smith has had big games this year, but Jalen Hurts has been inconsistent to the point where it is tough to trust any Eagles receiver on a weekly basis.

The fact that Smith's production has dipped in three consecutive weeks is a cause for concern.

DeSean Jackson, Las Vegas Raiders vs. Washington Football Team

DeSean Jackson gave a vintage performance in Week 12 on Thanksgiving. He finished with three catches for 102 yards and a touchdown in a high-scoring affair as the Las Vegas Raiders took down the Dallas Cowboys.

But it is hard to project Jackson having another big game like this in Week 13. He is a bonus option for the Raiders and not a reliable everyday option like Hunter Renfrow.

Jackson is a true boom-or-bust candidate in fantasy football at this point in his career. While it may be fun to hope he can have a big game, that is not a smart option in fantasy football with the playoffs being so close. Consider Jackson to be a true emergency option in a lineup if a late injury shows up on Sunday.
