Week 16 fantasy football quarterback rankings: Sit 'Em

Josh Allen, Buffalo Bills vs. New England Patriots

Josh Allen may have popped up in many of the top ten fantasy categories for quarterbacks this week, but be wary of starting him against this tough Patriots defense. They are #1 against opposing quarterbacks right now, even after Carson Wentz went to town on them. The Patriots defense is only allowing an average of 11.6 points per game to fantasy quarterbacks.

This is an important game for both teams, so expect a low-scoring defensive affair. Just like the battle in the snow during Week 14.

Ben Roethlisberger, Pittsburgh Steelers vs. Kansas City Chiefs

Given how inconsistent Ben Roethlisberger has been this season, and with how impressive the Chiefs defense has been as of late, it might be time to sit Big Ben for this week's matchup. The Chiefs defense has only allowed four TDs in their last three games. There is not a lot of hope for Big Ben and his rollercoaster type of quarterback play.

See if there is a more viable option via trade or on the waiver wire. The Chiefs are playing their hearts out to retain the #1 seed in the AFC playoffs, so expect more turnovers to happen.

Kirk Cousins, Minnesota Vikings vs. Los Angeles Rams

Although Kirk Cousins keeps finding ways to surprise the NFL with great games and comeback wins, the Rams defense is still very good. They are one of the stingiest defenses against quarterbacks. They are fifth-best in the league, only allowing 16.5 fantasy points per game. They are also second-best in the league, allowing 14 TDs total this season.

Cousins might seem like a viable option, but things are going to be difficult for the Vikings as the Rams look to steal back their NFC West title. They might play that much harder.
