How many draft picks do the Carolina Panthers have in the 2023 NFL Draft?

2022 NFL Draft - Round 1

The Carolina Panthers made a startling but hardly surprising trade yesterday, as they made a deal with the Chicago Bears for the number one pick of the 2023 NFL Draft in exchange for draft picks and elite wide receiver D.J. Moore.

As such, the Panthers are now in a pole position to draft a franchise quarterback and end years of QB purgatory with one smart draft move. This trade was a long time coming, as league analysts suspected that Carolina had something up their sleeves, considering how quiet they had been.

The Panthers surrendered the number 9 and 61 picks in the 2023 Draft, a 2024 first-round pick, a 2025 second-round pick and wideout D.J. Moore to move up to the top spot in the draft. So now, the panthers have six picks in the 2023 NFL draft, namely, picks number 1, 39, 93, 114, 132, and 145 in April's draft.

It remains to be seen what the Carolina Panthers will do with their draft picks in the upcoming NFL draft. But, at least they will be looking to add one of Bryce Young, C.J. Stroud, Will Levis, or Anthony Richardson. But then again, we've heard rumors that they might as well trade down. Long story short, it will be an interesting couple of weeks heading into the much-anticipated draft.

The Carolina Panthers' Potential 2024 NFL Draft Picks

The Panthers' recent trade with the Chicago Bears didn't just strip the Panthers of their 2023 NFL draft picks and D.J. Moore, but also a first-round pick in 2024. So what are the picks they got left for next year's draft?

  • Second Round
  • Third Round
  • Fourth Round
  • Fifth Round (via 49ers)
  • Fifth Round (via Titans)
  • Sixth Round (via Cardinals)

While the Carolina Panthers paid a hefty price to move up for their generational QB, they still have some ammo over the next two years to draft some franchise-altering pieces if they play their cards right.
