Ja'Marr Chase sent Bengals fans into panic mode after a concerning report emerged about his future with the Cincinnati Bengals. In a year where the likes of Justin Jefferson, Amon-Ra St. Brown, CeeDee Lamb and Brandon Aiyuk all got paid, Chase was left as the odd man out. On Saturday night, an ESPN report stated that Chase no longer plans on negotiating with the franchise over a new, long-term deal.
The report also added that Chase has taken out a $50 million insurance policy on himself for this season to guard against any potential injury which may result in lost earnings.
Ja'Marr Chase's contract situation will be an unwelcome distraction for the Bengals as they travel to Kansas City to take on the Super Bowl champion Chiefs. Chase didn't appear on the injury report which means he will take the field against the Chiefs, but the same cannot be said of his fellow wide receiver Tee Higgins, who's dealing with a hamstring injury.

Is Ja'Marr Chase playing today?
Chase will line up against the Chiefs despite reportedly ending negotiations with the Bengals. The franchise will need Chase to deliver after the Bengals playmaker publicly declared that Cincinnati was the team to beat in the AFC this season.
Per Rotoballer, Chase featured in 84% of Cincinnati's snaps in their shock 16-10 loss to the New England Patriots in Week 1. He caught all six of his targets for 62 yards. While the contract mess will be a distraction, you can still count on Chase as your WR1 in fantasy football every week.
It's a tough matchup for Chase but our Start 'Em Sit 'Em tool projects a return of 15 points for the Bengals playmaker.
