Having led two squads to Super Bowl trips throughout a 12-year career, Kurt Warner received his induction into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2017.

In his career as the starting quarterback, Warner went 67-49, made 2,666 of 4,070 passes, and threw 208 touchdown passes.

For most of his undergraduate career, Warner was listed as the backup quarterback on the roster. As a senior, he won the starting position and excelled in it, gaining Player of the Year honors in the Gateway Conference. 1993 saw Warner graduate from Northern Iowa.

He tried out for the Green Bay Packers of the NFL in 1994 but was rejected. From 1995 to 1997, he played football for the Iowa Barnstormers of the Arena Football League. Warner joined the St. Louis Rams in December 1997, and the spring after that, he was sent to line up for the NFL Europe's Amsterdam Admirals. He topped the league in passing yards for the year with 2,101 and started all 10 contests.

When the starting quarterback for the Rams sustained an injury that ended his season during the preseason in 1999, Warner was quickly given responsibility as the starting quarterback.

Kurt Warner was in charge of an explosive offense that year. He had a passer rating of 109.2 while passing for 4,353 yards and a league-high 41 touchdowns. As the Rams won 13 of their 16 games during the regular season, he was awarded the NFL's MVP that year.

The squad breezed through the postseason, winning the Super Bowl 23-16 over the Tennessee Titans to conclude a remarkable year. Warner led the Rams to their first Super Bowl victory, setting a new Super Bowl mark with 414 passing yards and two touchdown passes. He was also awarded the game's MVP.

Kurt Warner won his second MVP title in 2001 after dominating the NFL in every one of the important throwing metrics. The 14-2 Rams were the clear favorites in Super Bowl XXXVI, but the New England Patriots defeated them.

Kurt Warner joined the Arizona Cardinals in 2005, just as it appeared that he was no longer at the peak of his game.

He was the starter in all 16 of the Cardinals' matches in 2008, passed for over 4,000 yards for the first time since 2001, was selected to his fourth Pro Bowl, and helped the team reach their first Super Bowl, where they came up short against the Pittsburgh Steelers in Super Bowl XLIII.

When did Kurt Warner retire from the NFL?

Kurt Warner is, without a doubt, one of the most outstanding quarterbacks in NFL history, considering the fact that he wasn't even given a chance to earn his first start until he was 28 years old.

Five years after the birth of his two youngest kids, Warner hung up his helmet in 2010. He stated that he planned to spend his retirement "watching his children grow up, doing some preaching, and perhaps getting into football broadcasting."
