Tight end Kyle Pitts and the Atlanta Falcons will meet the Tampa Bay Buccaneers at Mercedes-Benz Stadium on Thursday Night Football. Atlanta will be looking to win two straight games for the first time this season.
After recording a 1,000-yard season as a rookie in 2021, Pitts—a graduate of Florida who entered the NFL with a high ceiling—looked like he was only going to get better from there. However, Pitts, now 23, has found it difficult to produce at that level since then.
Although Kyle Pitts' lack of consistent output has been attributed by many to former Atlanta Falcons coach Arthur Smith’s bad scheme, his issues have persisted under new coach Raheem Morris. And that's even after the team added experienced quarterback Kirk Cousins to the mix.

Will Kyle Pitts play against the Buccaneers?
Tight end Kyle Pitts is still expected to play in Week 5 despite his lackluster performance thus far this season. The Falcons have not included him on their injury report throughout the week, suggesting that he is healthy.
Pitts had a zero-catch game in the Falcons' 26-24 victory over the New Orleans Saints last weekend. Fans and fantasy managers have started getting impatient over Pitts’ poor production, but tonight's game presents him with an opportunity to regain people's trust.
Pitts has eight catches for 105 yards and a touchdown on 15 targets this season. The Falcons' supporters would like it if their former fourth-overall draft pick had a breakout game in a pivotal divisional game today, giving quarterback Kirk Cousins additional options.
Kyle Pitts still has time to make an impression. He might simply be adjusting to the Falcons' new-look offense, but if he needs time to show how valuable he is, there's none better than during tonight's showdown against the Buccaneers.
