Is Myles Garrett playing tonight vs Patriots in Week 6?

If the Cleveland Browns are to make the playoffs this season, they need their star defensive end Myles Garrett at his very best. He has been one of the best pass rushers over the last few campaigns in the NFL. Due to the continued drama surrounding their offense (especially the quarterback position with Deshaun Watson), people have often ignored how important their defense is.

Garrett recorded three sacks in the first two games of the season. But injuries from a car crash put him out of the Week 4 game against the Atlanta Falcons. He played in Week 5 against the Los Angeles Chargers and racked up three combined tackles.

This week saw him on the injury report again and he has been limited in practice. He did not practice at all on Thursday. Apparently, that was to help him recover from the shoulder, bicep and hand injuries that he suffered in the aforementioned car crash. He is listed as questionable for the upcoming Week 6 game against the New England Patriots.

Myles Garrett fantasy football updates and predictions

Myles Garrett is expected to start against the Patriots. The player himself has spoken about the need to be more dominant and therefore seems likely to play. His limited practice status this week is concerning. As is the fact that he hasn't had a single sack since the opening two weeks of the campaign. This may relegate him from the topmost bracket of choices.

Myles Garrett's NFL timeline

Myles Garrett was selected first overall in the 2017 NFL Draft. He has since gone a long way to repaying the faith put in him by the Cleveland Browns. In his rookie season, he recorded only seven sacks but was dominant enough to be selected to the PFWA All-Rookie Team in 2017.

Since then, he has vastly improved and become more consistent. From 2018 to 2021, he has never had less than 10 sacks per season. His lowest was in 2019, when he played just 10 games and registered 10 sacks. Last year was his best year, as he played in all 17 games and registered 16 sacks.

He has been named to the Pro Bowl three times. His talent is not in doubt and he should be back to his best form very soon. Whether the Patriots have arrived a bit too early for him to sparkle remains to be seen.
