Is Nick Chubb playing today? Latest on Browns RB for fantasy football Week 7

Nick Chubb has been the talk of the town for the Cleveland Browns ahead of their Week 7 matchup against the Cincinnati Bengals.

The running back is yet to make his season debut due to recovery from a knee injury, and fantasy managers want to know his status for Sunday's game.

As things stand, Nick Chubb is listed as questionable on the Browns' injury report. However, on Friday, Cleveland coach Kevin Stefanski said he expects the running back to play against the Bengals in Week 7.

This is great news for fantasy managers who are looking to play Chubb for this weekend. However, since the player is making his season debut after a long-term injury, he could be given limited reps against Cincinnati.

Chubb suffered his knee injury against the Pittsburgh Steelers in Week 2 last season. He suffered a dislocation and three torn ligaments, which required two surgeries.

The Browns officially opened Chubb's 21-day practice window on Oct. 2. The running back returned to practice ahead of Week 5 but didn't play in Cleveland's past two games.

Nonetheless, Chubb was a full participant in practice this week in the build-up to Week 7 and is expected to suit up to face the Bengals.

Chubb, who was drafted by the Browns in the second round in 2018, has racked up 1,177.2 fantasy points across his NFL career, averaging 15.3 points per game.

Now, it will be interesting to see how Chubb fares in his 2024 season debut against Cincinnati on Sunday.
