The Miami Dolphins signed Odell Beckham Jr. ahead of the 2024 NFL season. The former perennial Pro Bowler had loads of admirers in free agency, but he elected to take his talents to South Beach and catch passes from Tua Tagovailoa.
Ahead of a meeting with one of his former teams, let's take a look at Beckham Jr.'s availability.
Is Odell Beckham Jr. playing tonight?
Yes, Odell Beckham Jr. is playing in tonight's game against the Los Angeles Rams. The one-time Super Bowl champion goes into the game without an injury designation. So he should contribute to Mike McDaniel's fast-paced offense.
Beckham Jr. took some time to make his debut for the Miami Dolphins, but he has been mostly available for selection since. Barring any unfortunate scenarios, Beckham Jr. will play against the team with whom he won a Super Bowl ring in 2022.
Interestingly, Beckham Jr. isn't the only former Los Angeles Rams standout set to feature on Monday Night Football. Superstar cornerback Jalen Ramsey spent four seasons with Sean McVay's side before he was moved to the Miami Dolphins. He'll start tonight's game and aim to be a disruptive presence against his old team.
How has Odell Beckham Jr. performed in 2024?
Odell Beckham Jr. is having possibly the worst season of his professional football career in 2024. The two-time second-team All-Pro wideout has played just four games with the Dolphins, amassing a stat line of three receptions, 15 receiving yards, and zero touchdowns.
Beckham Jr. had zero receptions with the Dolphins until his fourth game with the franchise against the Bills on Nov. 3. During that game, he snagged three balls from three targets and earned his first receiving yards as a Dolphin.
The Miami Dolphins have significantly underperformed in 2024, having won just two of eight games this season. That despite having one of the most stacked offenses in the AFC, with Tua Tagovailoa at quarterback, Tyreek Hill and Jaylen Waddle at wide receiver, and Raheem Mostert and DeVon Achane at running back.
Tagovailoa missed four games after suffering a concussion in Week 2, which also didn't help Miami's cause.
The Miami Dolphins must record a positive result against the Los Angeles Rams in Week 10 if they're looking for a .500 season. However, a loss tonight will spell the end of their playoff hopes and potentially put their much-loved head coach under immense pressure.
