One of quarterback Patrick Mahomes' favorite targets last season was wide receiver Rashee Rice, who recorded 938 receiving yards on 79 catches and seven touchdowns. He continued to produce at that level in the postseason, amassing 262 receiving yards on 26 receptions and one touchdown.
However, the second-year receiver had a tumultuous offseason. There are questions about whether he will participate in the Chiefs' season opener against the Baltimore Ravens because of his involvement in a hit-and-run collision in downtown Dallas early in the offseason. He is also currently facing eight felony charges in an unresolved case.
Check out if Rice's continued legal situation will impact his availability for Week 1 and the 2024 season.

Will Rashee Rice suit up against the Ravens?
It's still unclear when/if Rashee Rice will be suspended for his involvement in the hit-and-run clash, but it might happen at some point. This means the 2023 second-round draft pick will play at Arrowhead tonight when the Baltimore Ravens visit the Kansas City Chiefs.
An anonymous NFL official said:
"We have been monitoring developments in the matter," as reported by Marca. "Following the conclusion of the legal process, the NFL will review the matter under the Personal Conduct Policy.”
Rice played a key role in leading the Chiefs to their second straight Super Bowl at Allegiant Stadium in Nevada over the San Francisco 49ers in February. He will be available for selection to help the Chiefs until a ruling is made on his ongoing case.
The Washington Post reports that the NFL isn't expected to add the 24-year-old wide receiver on the Commissioner's Exempt List. Also, after the legal procedure is completed, a final decision regarding any kind of suspension will be made.
What time is the Chiefs vs Ravens regular-season opener tonight?
The defending Super Bowl winners, the Kansas City Chiefs, led by quarterback Patrick Mahomes, will take on Lamar Jackson and the Baltimore Ravens in the opening game of the 2024 regular season tonight at GEHA Field, Arrowhead Stadium, Kansas City, Missouri.

Starting at 8:20 p.m. EDT on Thursday, the Ravens will have their chance at revenge.
