As per reports, Sam LaPorta is cleared to play tonight. He will not miss any time due to his sprained ankle and will be ready to make an impact for his team against a tough Seahawks team.

Under new head coach Mike McDonald, the Seahawks boast one of the best defenses in the league. Over the first three games of the season, their defense has allowed an average of just 14.3 points and 132.3 net passing yards per game.

LaPorta, who had 86 receptions for 889 yards and 10 touchdowns last season, has recorded just eight receptions for 94 yards this season. Hopefully, the Lions will involve him much more going forward, as the 23-year-old tight end is too good of a player to not be a difference maker on the field.

Jared Goff, the Lions' quarterback, has not had a good start to the season either. In three games, he has thrown for 723 yards, three touchdowns, and four interceptions and is completing 66% of his throws. The Lions usually play well at home, and the game against the Seahawks provides them an opportunity to get their mojo back and prove to everyone that they are still a legit Super Bowl contender.

The Seahawks are 3-0 to start the season, but their schedule was quite favorable. If they manage to win tonight in Detroit, a lot of people will begin to take them more seriously.
