Week 16's round of action will see the Philadelphia Eagles' marquee free agency addition Saquon Barkley try and resurrect his claim to be crowned the most valuable player in the league.
Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen has threatened to run away with the crown in recent weeks by putting the offense on his back. Last night, Lamar Jackson also sent a reminder that the race isn't over just yet.
The Eagles have won 10 straight games and with a 12-2 record are in the hunt to knock the Detroit Lions off the top seed in the NFC. With that in mind, RB Barkley will have more than a few opportunities to strengthen his case for NFL MVP when they take on the Washington Commanders this afternoon.

Is Saquon Barkley playing today vs the Washington Commanders?
While the Eagles are confirmed to play meaningful football in January, they are not looking to take their foot off the gas pedal as we approach the business end of the season.
Barkley's name was on this week's injury report and he did not practice on Wednesday. That, however, was just Philly's way of affording the MVP contender some rest ahead of a pretty interesting schedule. There is no injury concern with Barkley, so he will be ready to go this afternoon.
Philadelphia Eagles vs Washington Commanders injury report
A.J. Brown was the biggest concern for the Eagles for Week 16. Brown is nursing a knee injury but told reporters that he will suit up against Washington regardless of his injury.
"I was fine after the game, fine the next day, fine the day after that," Brown told reporters. "It just kind of comes with the game. After a period of time, stuff like that starts happening and you find a way to get through it."
However, we are unlikely to see Bryce Huff return from injury just yet. Week 17 is a more likely option for that to happen. Huff and WR Britain Covey (Neck) have both been ruled out.
For Washington, DE Jonathan Allen is out with a pectoral injury. Zach Ertz complained of a shoulder injury and also sustained a concussion but is expected to be ready to face the Eagles.
