Kansas City Chiefs fans have received an update on Isiah Pacheco's potential return to the field. The team recently made moves to open two spots on the active roster, hinting at the return of key players.
ESPN reporter Adam Teicher shared on X (formerly Twitter) on Wednesday that both Isiah Pacheco and Charles Omenihu are expected to play for the Chiefs against the Las Vegas Raiders on Friday.
Chiefs coach Andy Reid noted that as long as there are no setbacks, both players should be ready to go.
Isiah Pacheco fantasy football outlook for Week 13
Isiah Pacheco was ranked RB31 ahead of Week 13 on Tuesday, but ESPN now projects him as the RB30. After returning to practice weeks ago, Pacheco has improved and is now set to return to the field.
He is projected to carry the ball 12 times for 51 rushing yards. Additionally, he is projected to catch two passes for 14 receiving yards, with a total production of 11.65 fantasy points.
Pacheco played only two games before suffering a knee injury. He carried the ball 15 times in the season opener against the Baltimore Ravens, recording 45 rushing yards and one rushing touchdown. The following week, he carried the ball 19 times for 90 yards but did not score.
Fortunately for the Chiefs, Isiah Pacheco avoided a more severe injury. Other players such as Marquis Brown, Rashee Rice and Skyy Moore saw their seasons cut short due to injuries.
Kareem Hunt was signed after Pacheco’s knee injury, and the two will now team up in the backfield to help lead the Chiefs to more victories.
Raiders coach names Chiefs the 'best team in football'
Las Vegas Raiders coach Antonio Pierce shared his thoughts about the Kansas City Chiefs, calling them the best team in football while acknowledging his squad as the complete opposite.
"Let's call a spade a spade. Best team in football against the worst team in football. Let's change the narrative. Alright? Let's go out there and try to make it a dogfight. Let's make it ugly, let's make it scrappy," he said.
"It's Black Friday, let's create a little chaos, you know what I'm saying? Let's get back to greater football and have some fun and some personality and let it loose."
This matchup could be a proper test to see how healthy Isiah Pacheco is.
