Is Jaylen Waddle as fast as Tyreek Hill?

Tyreek Hill and Jaylen Waddle are two of the NFL's fastest players. Although the NFL has numerous athletic pairs, these two represent some of the world's fastest athletes. They help the Miami Dolphins have one of the most potent attacks in the entire league.

During the University of Kentucky's Homecoming Game in October 2017, Jaylen Waddle ran the 40-yard sprint in a time of 4:09. This outstanding accomplishment attracted interest on a global scale.

Waddle does not, however, possess a 40-second record. Due to COVID-19, the 2020 combine was postponed. Waddle chose not to participate in the 40-yard sprint at Alabama's Pro Day because of an ankle injury.

At the 2016 NFL Combine, Jaylen Waddle's quick colleague, Tyreek Hill, ran the 40-yard dash in 4.29 seconds while clocking a speed of 19.07 MPH.

Comparing Jaylen Waddle’s top speed in the NFL with Tyreek Hill’s

The amount of emphasis placed on 40-yard dash timing for NFL hopefuls is a reflection of how important speed is in the league. It is unquestionably the most important exercise at the yearly NFL Combine and one of the most well-liked by spectators.

During the 2021 regular season, Waddle clocked his top carrying speed, according to Next Gen Stats. On his season-long longest reception, a 57-yard reception versus the Carolina Panthers, he reached a speed of 21.80 mph.

According to Next Gen Stats measurements, Tyreek Hill outpaced that speed in past seasons. As a rookie, he achieved the highest two speeds in the league in 2016. He hit 23.24 mph on a kickoff return of 27 yards for a score against the Houston Texans and 22.77 mph on a kickoff return of 86 yards for a score against the Denver Broncos.

Hill also had 21.95 and 21.91 mph speeds on touchdown receptions of 58 and 44 yards, respectively, against the Los Angeles Chargers in 2018 and the Miami Dolphins in 2020.

Tyreek Hill, who is probably the NFL's quickest wide receiver, is nicknamed "Cheetah" owing to his agility on the field.

It is quite difficult to choose between Hill and Waddle as the speedier player, but both players will have another opportunity to prove their worth to the league this year. The defensive players tasked with stopping them in 2023 are in for a tough task.
