Jonathan Taylor suffered an ankle injury in the Indianapolis Colts' bizarre defeat against the Minnesota Vikings in Week 15. The Colts running back was placed on the team's injured reserve list on Monday.

As per reports, Taylor may not play for Indianapolis again in the 2022-23 NFL season. Hence, it's clear that you should drop Taylor from your fantasy football team for Week 16.

Given his injury status, Fantasy managers should steer clear of picking him for the remainder of the season.

Taylor rolled his ankle against the Vikings in the second quarter of the game and didn't return for the second half. It was later confirmed that the running back suffered a high-ankle sprain, which could take multiple weeks to recover.

The Colts currently sit third in the AFC South at 4-9-1, with three weeks remaining in the regular season. Indianapolis has less than a 1 percent chance of making it to the playoffs and it could possibly mean that Taylor won't feature for them again this campaign.

In Taylor's absence, either Zack Moss or Deon Jackson is expected to start at running back in the Colts' Week 16 matchup against the Los Angeles Chargers.

Jonathan Taylor carried the ball 192 times for 861 yards and four touchdowns. He also added 143 receiving yards on 28 receptions across 11 games for the Colts. In his third season with Indianapolis, he racked up 118.4 fantasy points, averaging 10.8 FPPG.

Given that Taylor is out for the remainder of the season, you obviously shouldn't pick him in your fantasy team. Here are some other running backs that you can choose for your team in Week 16:

  • Austin Ekeler
