JuJu Smith-Schuster fantasy outlook: Will the Chiefs receiver play in Week 11 against the Chargers?

JuJu Smith-Schuster of the Kansas City Chiefs warms up

JuJu Smith-Schuster took a nasty hit to the head in Week 10. He was knocked unconscious and left the game. His return has been a major question for every Kansas City Chiefs fan and fantasy manager heading into Week 11's matchup against the Los Angeles Chargers.

JuJu Smith-Schuster has been officially declared out of the Kansas City Chiefs game this weekend. He remains in the concussion protocol and did not participate in any practices this week.

The news isn't a huge surprise, given the nature of the concussion he received and the NFL's current focus on the issue. Looking out for his safety is of paramount importance, and Smith-Schuster will return only when he is healthy.

With JuJu Smith-Schuster out this week, trading for another receiver seems like a waste of resources, particularly with the direction he has been trending of late. Mecole Hardman is also out for multiple weeks, so the two Kansas City Chiefs wide receivers who will benefit immediately are Marquez Valdes-Scantling and Kadarius Toney.

Valdes-Scantling was unwell earlier this week but has no injury-designation ahead of the game. Toney looked dynamic in Week 10, scoring an easy touchdown and hopping into the endzone. Depending on the size of your league, these players might not be rostered and as such are obvious replacements who might score big in Week 11.

Another player set to benefit from an injury crisis is Courtland Sutton of the Denver Broncos. With Jerry Jeudy and K.J. Hamler injured, Sutton should see a lot of targets. If you happen to also have Dulcich at tight end, this could be a masterstroke or a disaster. Start both at your own risk, given the Broncos' offensive woes in fantasy football this season.

Allen Robinson of the Los Angeles Rams is another must if he is still available. With Cooper Kupp on the IR, Robinson is now the Rams WR1. If they utilize him even half as much as they did Kupp, Robinson will become a huge factor in fantasy football.
