Kadarius Toney injury update: When will he return?

Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Kadarius Toney sustained a hamstring strain in his last game. He'll probably find it challenging to return and compete in Week 12.

Toney was listed as doubtful to return by the Chiefs shortly before halftime of their Week 11 game against the Los Angeles Chargers. This came after the Chiefs saw him depart the game with a hamstring injury in the second quarter.

After the contest, head coach Andy Reid confirmed that Kadarius Toney had indeed sustained a hamstring injury. The injury type kept him out of numerous games while he was still playing for the New York Giants to begin the season. Reid didn't elaborate on the extent of Toney's injuries, though.

Within a day of Toney's hamstring issue, NFL Media's Ian Rapoport provided a status report on it on Monday, November 21.

While Toney's ailment was classified as a strain, Rapoport did not provide a specific date for return. This is fantastic news, though, because it might have been a lot more catastrophic. Rapoport stated that Toney would "miss some time" after that.

Kadarius Toney's stats and fantasy prediction

It would be a big blow for the Chiefs' offense without Mecole Hardman and JuJu Smith-Schuster if Kadarius Toney were to be out for a few weeks. Still, fantasy players will be searching for a Toney substitute. Although Marquez Valdes-Scantling has struggled this year, youngster Skye Moore is an interesting alternative after playing his best game of the year in Week 11.

In a dramatic victory over the Los Angeles Chargers, the Kansas City Chiefs once again demonstrated their superiority over the competition. The club rose to 8-2 thanks to the dominance of Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce.

Before leaving the game, Kadarius Toney failed to record a reception on a single target. In only his second outing with Kansas City, he scored the first touchdown of his career in the side's victory over the Jacksonville Jaguars.

Toney has been forced to sit out five games this campaign so far due to two different hamstring injuries before the New York Giants cut ties with him. Several injuries marked his time with the Giants, only managing to play in 12 of a possible 24 contests in the two seasons before being traded.
