Kenneth Walker has been a solid fantasy running back while battling injury and other issues over the first two seasons of his career. If he can stay healthy and play all 17 games, he is an exciting option for fantasy managers.
How excited should they be and what does his outlook look like ahead of the regular season next month?

Should you draft Kenneth Walker in fantasy?
You should draft Kenneth Walker III in fantasy when the right time comes. He is a starting running back with high upside. That alone is worth picking him up in the draft. The zero RB method is not advised anymore, so you need someone who can score points.
That's why Walker should at least be on the radar. He's not a must-draft player in fantasy after a step down in 2023, but he's absolutely one who shouldn't be passed over.
Kenneth Walker: Fantasy Outlook 2024
Kenneth Walker has been a fantasy darling since being drafted, but only while he's been on the field. He has had health issues, but he has looked every bit the part of a top fantasy running back when he's out there.
In 2023, despite missing two games with an injury, Walker was the 59th-best player and the 16th-best running back. Although he was more dominant as a rookie, he was still good in the 15 games he played last year.
He averaged 4.1 yards per carry and got 905 yards. The Seattle Seahawks running back ran for eight scores and added one more (with 259 yards) through the air. He was an all-around player who could be very exciting this year.
The quarterback situation in Seattle, given that the Seahawks just traded for Sam Howell, is worth watching. It could impact how the team runs the ball, especially if it ends up going with the younger Howell at any point.
Additionally, Zach Charbonnet's role might increase this year. He didn't look poised to take Walker's spot or anything, but he definitely earned more carries since he was a valued draft pick. That could eat into Walker's usage.
Is Kenneth Walker a good pick in 2024?
It has almost been a tale of two seasons for Kenneth Walker. The running back was incredible in 2022, playing in 15 games (11 starts) and placing as the overall 37th player and 15th-best running back.
His numbers were a little better in that season, so he had a slight sophomore slump (if that word can be used here) and had some health issues as well. However, the two seasons combine to paint the picture that Walker is a good player.
That makes him a good running back pick in fantasy. He's the clear starter in an offense that he has thrived in for two years now (to varying degrees). That alone means he will probably be a solid, safe selection in your draft.
Of course, the step back in 2023 and the Charbonnet pick last year are reasons to at least be concerned about his overall ceiling. However, the floor is pretty high for Walker, and if you don't overdraft him, he will end up being a quality pick.
The Seahawks may also adopt a more run-heavy offense behind Walker with Mike McDonald running the show as opposed to Pete Carroll. That can't be predicted until the season arrives, but it's a distinct possibility.
Where should you draft the Seahawks RB?
As with almost every single pick made in a fantasy draft, the true value lies in where you select them. Kenneth Walker might be a bad pick if you take him in the second round. He's a much better pick in the sixth round, for example.
Right now, although drafts are still happening all the time, Walker's average draft position is 45th overall. He's being taken as the 16th running back, which is almost exactly in line with his overall finishes in 2022 and 2023.
That is a similar range that Rachaad White is in in fantasy drafts. He's being taken as the 13th running back. If given the choice, our fantasy analyzer believes that Walker is not the best pick there. Eventually down the board, however, he will be.
