Kyler Murray is a catalyst for almost everything good that the Arizona Cardinals do on offense. The two-time Pro Bowler has a cannon for an arm and he is also one of the best running quarterbacks in the NFL.
Murray had a decent yet unspectacular game in Week 12 against the Seattle Seahawks before he got hurt. Let's take a look at the dual-threat star's availability ahead of Week 13.
Should fantasy managers be worried about Kyler Murray?
Kyler Murray suffered what appeared to be a rib or stomach injury in the latter part of the Cardinals' loss to the Seahawks. Murray took a hard hit and was subsequently attended to in the medical tent. He managed to return to the field but looked shaken up.
After the game, Cardinals coach Jonathan Gannon was asked about the status of his star QB.
"I believe that was from up top," Gannon said. "They called down. Then the guy burped him, capped him off and fell on him. He lost his wind, which was why he did not get up immediately. They thought it might have been a head injury, so they made him go to the medical tent, but he was fine."
Murray's fantasy managers should not be concerned about the versatile shot-caller. Barring any setbacks, Murray should be ready to feature in Week 13 against the Minnesota Vikings.
How has Kyler Murray performed in 2024?
Kyler Murray has been thoroughly efficient in the 2024 season. The former Heisman Trophy winner has reduced his turnovers and looks like a better QB.
Heading into Week 13, Murray has recorded 2,343 passing yards, 12 touchdowns and four interceptions. He has also added 380 rushing yards and four rushing TDs. Furthermore, Murray has developed a solid understanding of rookie wide receiver Marvin Harrison Jr., who is widely regarded as a future star in the NFL.
Murray's performances have guided the Cardinals to a 6-5 record as the season reaches its business end. Arizona has recorded wins over the LA Rams, San Francisco 49ers, LA Chargers, Miami Dolphins, Chicago Bears and New York Jets. They might have suffered their first loss in a while against the Seahawks, but they're still on track to make the playoffs.
