Patrick Mahomes is a remarkable quarterback who has established himself as one of the most talented players in the NFL. Chris Broussard, co-host of FS1's First Thing First, was reported to have stated in a Sports Illustrated article that Mahomes is the best quarterback he has ever seen.

In just six years in the league, Mahomes' accomplishments and statistics are comparable only to all-time greats such as Tom Brady and Joe Montana. He has guided the Kansas City Chiefs to five consecutive AFC Conference Championship games and has already made two Super Bowl appearances.

Mahomes is set to make his third Super Bowl appearance in just five years on February 12, while further enhancing his reputation as one of the elite quarterbacks in the NFL.

If he wins the Super Bowl, he will join an exclusive club of four quarterbacks in NFL history who have won two Super Bowls. He is the leading candidate for the League MVP award, which would put him in the same category as Tom Brady, Peyton Manning and Joe Montana.

Mahomes is one of the most successful quarterbacks in NFL history, with an impressive 80% win percentage, putting him in the top five all-time, ahead of even Tom Brady.

The 27-year-old also holds a number of records, including the most post-season touchdowns in a single season (11 in 2021) and the highest career post-season passer rating in NFL history (106.1). These achievements solidify his place as a dominant force in the NFL.

Mahomes was selected by the Kansas City Chiefs in the first round of the 2017 NFL draft as the 10th overall pick.

After a successful rookie season as a backup, he was named the starting quarterback for the 2018 season and had a historic year, throwing for over 5,000 yards and 50 touchdowns, earning him the league MVP award. He is one of only four African-Americans to have received it.

In 2019, Mahomes further cemented his place as the top quarterback by leading the Chiefs to their first Super Bowl victory in 50 years and being named Super Bowl MVP.

Despite losing the Super Bowl in 2020, he has continued to excel and his trajectory sets him up to potentially surpass Tom Brady's seven Super Bowl wins and 10 appearances, potentially solidifying his place as the greatest quarterback of all time before the age of 40.
