Matthew Stafford has experienced several hurdles during the course of his 13-year career. It goes without saying that his tenure with the Detroit Lions was difficult. However, after being traded to the Los Angeles Rams, he accomplished what every NFL player strives for: a Super Bowl victory.

In 2021, Stafford helped the Rams lift the Lombardi trophy, but he has been struggling with different injuries since the offseason. He missed some of the preseason games due to an elbow injury. He recovered and played all the games of the regular season up until Week 9.

He has since been recovering from a concussion that he had during the game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. The NFL has entered Week 12, and once again Rams star QB is out. Unfortunately, for Rams fans, he won't be playing in the upcoming game against the Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday.

Los Angeles Rams head coach Sean McVay announced on Wednesday that Stafford will miss the Week 12 game due to a strained neck. The Rams will start this week with QB Bryce Perkins. Perkins is playing his rookie season and has played two games so far. He has thrown for 61 yards with 54.5 percent of the passes completed.

The Rams will face one of the strongest NFL teams this week and will surely miss the on-field presence of Matthew Stafford. However, the reigning champions have struggled since Week 1, and are currently 3-7 this season.

There is no timetable for Matthew Stafford's return as the Rams are closely observing his recovery. Not much is known about how severe his neck injury is, but he shouldn't be out for over two weeks.

If you play fantasy football, then make sure you bench him and give your backups a chance to score good fantasy points.
