Bo Nix consistently improved his overall production during each year of his college football career. This included being among the favorites to win the Heisman Trophy during his final season, until it eventually went to Jayden Daniels. The Oregon Ducks quarterback has now established himself as one of the top prospects ahead of the 2024 NFL Draft.

With several teams expected to be targeting quarterbacks near the top of the draft this year, Nix will be one of the big names to keep an eye on.

The Denver Broncos are one of the teams that are rumored to be one of his most likely landing spots. He discussed the possibility of teaming up with head coach Sean Payton during a recent appearance on the Up & Adams show.

Nix stated:

"I hear that a lot, you know. It would be an honor, you know like Drew Brees, he got toplay for Sean Payton and they won a Super Bowl and had great success. He led the league in a lot of statistical categories, had a lot of good seasons, so I'm never going to argue if I get to play for one of the better coaches of all time, or argue when I get to play for a coach with that much experience."

When Drew Brees retired, he held just about every career passing record until Tom Brady eventually surpassed him. He also helped the New Orleans Saints win a Super Bowl ring when Sean Payton was the head coach.

Bo Nix acknowledged the duo's dominance and speculated his potential success if he does get the opportunity to join Payton on the Denver Broncos. They are expected to be in the market for a quarterback, so the pairing makes some sense.

The Denver Broncos made the bold decision during the 2024 NFL offseason to cut Russell Wilson from their roster. They are now in need of a new quarterback and are expected to target one during the 2024 NFL Draft.

With the 12th overall pick, they may miss out on the top few prospects, but Bo Nix is likely to be one of the top options available when they are around.

The Broncos are reportedly hoping to compete for a spot in the playoffs this year, so they will need an NFL-ready quarterback to do so.

While some teams may fade Nix due to being one of the older prospects this year, being in win-now mode may make him more attractive to Sean Payton. He comes with a ton of experience and could potentially thrive in Payton's quarterback-friendly offensive system.
