Pittsburgh Steelers star Cam Heyward called out Aaron Rodgers on March 18 due to the uncertainty surrounding the four-time MVP and his potential move to the Steelers. The seven-time Pro Bowl defensive tackle famously said on his podcast:
"I ain’t doing that darkness retreat. I do not need any of that crap. Either you want to be a Pittsburgh Steeler or you don’t. It is that simple, that is the pitch. If you want me to recruit, that will be the recruiting pitch. Pittsburgh Steelers if you want to be part of it, so be it. If not, no skin off my back."
However, following some major activities in the offseason, including trades, contract renewals, and the draft, Aaron Rodgers has signed a one-year deal with Mike Tomlin's side. Following the addition of the future first ballot Hall of Famer, Heyward took to his podcast to get a 100% real on the addition of Rodgers. He said Tuesday:

"I think it's good. He brings the leadership ... Dude's a four-time MVP. That's nothing to look over. Got a chance to meet him. Very nice and approachable. Just excited to get down to business. He's going to teach a lot of the offensive players about how to go about business, and that's what we need."

Rodgers hasn't wasted any time getting to know Heyward and the rest of his new teammates. According to Yahoo Sports, the one-time Super Bowl champion attended Cam Heyward’s charity golf event on Monday.
Aaron Rodgers was seen driving a golf cart with DK Metcalf in the passenger seat. Both players were offseason additions to Mike Tomlin's side. Rodgers via free agency, while Metcalf arrived via a trade-and-sign with the Seattle Seahawks. The duo appear to be building chemistry ahead of an important regular season in the stacked AFC North.
Aaron Rodgers could make his debut against former side
Aaron Rodgers has joined the Steelers just in time for minicamp, training camp, and the preseason. He'll look to work on his fitness as he's not played competitive football since the end of the 2024 regular season, while he was still a member of the New York Jets.
Barring any unfortunate occurrences, Aaron Rodgers' first regular-season game as a member of the Pittsburgh Steelers will be against the New York Jets. The veteran shot caller is well acquainted with the Jets as he spent the last two seasons with the franchise. The Steelers and the Justin Fields-led Jets face off in Week 1 in New York.
