Aaron Rodgers believes that there is a mole within the Jets locker room leaking information to the media and creating problems for the franchise. New York came into this season as a probable Super Bowl contender. They had a quarterback who is a future Hall-of-Famer and he was given the weapons of his choice. The defense was sturdy and many within the organization believed that they had all the ingredients to challenge for a championship.

Instead, the Jets are currently 3-8 and have the same number of wins as the bottom-dwelling Patriots in the AFC East. While they can theoretically still finish with a winning record, not even the most optimistic fan believes they can win six matches on the bounce. They have fired their head coach and general manager and are looking at a rebuild next year.

Among such dysfunction, Aaron Rodgers believes that a 'mole' is leaking from the locker room which is exacerbating the situation. When asked about it, he replied,

“100 percent yes.”

Aaron Rodgers has become a problem to solve for the Jets

While a mole may or may not be capitalizing on the problems facing the Jets, the reason they are here in the first place is because Aaron Rodgers has failed to play at a high level. The reason they were considered Super Bowl contenders in the first place is that they thought that they had a better-than-average quarterback.

Instead, Aaron Rodgers has had the worst statistical season of his career. He has 2,442 yards in 12 games. He has accounted for 17 touchdowns and seven picks, the latter being a particular blemish for a player famed for protecting the ball. He has a cumulative passer rating of 88.9.

He has not had a single 300-yard passing game this season and multiple games below 200 yards. His completion rate is just 63.4 percent and it has not improved despite a midseason trade for Davante Adams from the Raiders.

The Jets chose to forgo drafting a quarterback in this year's NFL Draft, trading down with the Vikings and allowing Minnesota to take J.J. McCarthy before the Broncos took Bo Nix with the next pick. For comparison, the rookie Denver quarterback has more passing yards, a higher completion percentage, and passer rating, and fewer interceptions than Aaron Rodgers.

Now, the franchise is looking at yet another rebuild despite the quarterbacks in the upcoming draft class being rated lower than those they passed up on this year.
