Aaron Rodgers has been the subject of wild rumors recently. While he was taking some time off football, reports surfaced that the Jets were unsure that they would continue with him in 2025.
Another report claimed that Rodgers had denied scans.
"One source explained that Rodgers has resisted getting scans done, not wanting to reveal the severity of his injuries out of fear of having to come off the field. He has insisted that he keep playing." (H/T NFL.com)
After missing last week's Tuesday appearance on the "Pat McAfee Show," his interview at the end of his bye week was highly anticipated. During the interview, he categorically denied all reports that claimed that he had been denying scans and that he was injured.
"I feel great right now after the week off and I felt really good against the Colts. I know my body better than anybody and I have a great relationship with the doctors on staff. They ask me how I feel and I've never turned down any scans."
The report came after Aaron Rodgers claimed that he had found the "Fountain of Youth." This was after his teammate Thomas Morstead told him about his habit of drinking cayenne pepper and water.
Aaron Rodgers shoots down reports of his unsure future with the Jets
On the show, he also addressed a report by "The Athletic" which claimed that he and the Jets were unsure that their partnership would continue after the current season.
"I haven't told anybody in my life that I wanna play in 2025 and not on the Jets. That's 100% false and I actually said the opposite. I don't even know if I wanna play yet but New York would be my first option."
Rodgers also went on to say that he loved his teammates while acknowledging that the season had not turned out how he had hoped. Despite having a healthy Rodgers, the team is still 3-8.
However, as to whether he would still play in 2025, the veteran quarterback said that he was "day-to-day" about it. Rodgers added that he would only play if he felt healthy enough to take on another grueling season.
