Aaron Rodgers showed support to Haason Reddick after the latter returned to the Jets following a holdout that lasted into the regular season. The defender was traded from the Philadelphia Eagles in the offseason but didn't suit up for the Jets until a couple of weeks ago due to a contract dispute.

Now that his holdout is over, Reddick can play at the highest level and prove that he's worth a new deal with either the Jets or any other team. During his Tuesday appearance on The Pat McAfee Show, Rodgers shared his excitement about Reddick's comeback and his chance to earn his money.

“Now no excuse. We got him [Reddick], we got Tae, let’s go win some games.
“He’s not a real loud guy. He’s a quiet guy, goes about his business. He’s about that action. He’s a tough dude, he’s an instinctual player and he’s got a high motor. We’re glad he’s back with us and hope he gets as many sacks as he possibly can so he can get whatever money back he didn’t get for holding out," Rodgers said.

Reddick returned to the Jets ahead of the Week 7 matchup against the Pittsburgh Steelers, the same week Davante Adams was traded to New York. He reworked his contract to get the remainder of his 2024 base salary of $9 million, but will also have the chance to make extra money if he meets weekly goals.

He could get $12 million if he meets these incentives after losing about $12.2 million during his holdout, per Sportico.

Rodgers talks about his health after beating the Texans

The Jets returned to winning ways last week against a potential Super Bowl contender in the Texans. Rodgers went off with a three-touchdown performance to snap his team's five-game skid.

After the game, the quarterback talked about his health, revealing that he would be careful with his body before Sunday's duel against the Cardinals.

"Body feels pretty good, yeah, I'm not going to do much. Probably just pound some drinks. A lot of drinks. Water and raw coconut water and still enjoy myself. But I might venture out to the city one of these nights, but I'll be relaxed, taking care of my body and getting ready to hopefully feel 100% for next week, because I haven't really been 100% since Week 4, so be nice to little bit better."

The Jets have had an inconsistent NFL season but after Thursday's win, things could change for Rodgers and company.
