Rodgers has been dealing with nagging injuries all season, but the hamstring injury flared up during the loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers.
"I mean as far as my body’s been concerned, my left Achilles, thanks to Doc and the rehab I did, it's felt incredible. The rest of my body hasn't held up as well, but that hasn't been an issue thankfully," Rodgers said on Tuesday (per SportingNews).
The quarterback was able to play through the injury against the Patriots, but the injury remains serious enough for New York to still list him on the injury report.
Will Aaron Rodgers play in Week 9?
Rodgers will be the Jets' starting quarterback at home against the Houston Texans on Thursday Night.
Rodgers was a full participant in practice on Wednesday, which sets him up to start.
"I feel really good. I mean, I don't know what it is about these Thursdays, but I made it through the game without any issues and I feel much better," Rodgers said.
Rodgers said that a concoction of cayenne pepper and water suggested by veteran punter Thomas Morstead has helped him feel better despite his multiple nagging injuries.
"T-Mo gave me a little fountain of youth he said he's been taking for a while," Rodgers said (via NFL.com).
"All legal, of course. ... He's been taking like cayenne pepper and water, so he gave me some before the game. Felt pretty good, but I've been kind of gassing him up that that's why I'm feeling so good. I'm not sure how much that's playing a factor."
The Jets are 2-6 and have lost five straight games. They aim to snap the losing streak at home against the Texans on Thursday.
This season, Rodgers has gone 175-for-284 for 1,896 yards, 12 touchdowns and seven interceptions.
