Haason Reddick shockingly wants out of the New York Jets months after coming in via trade. But the organization has since reasserted its authority and stated that he will not be traded and must report for practice, lest he continues accumulating fines.

Quarterback Aaron Rodgers is another party who wants the two-time Pro Bowl linebacker to eventually relent and don the Gotham/Legacy Green. Speaking to reporters during practice on Tuesday, he said:

"I don't know him well. I had a couple messages with him, I believe, when he got traded. Obviously, we'd love him to be here, but we don't judge him for trying to do what's best for him. I think what's best for him is to be a Jet because this is going to be a fun ride. But he's got to make the best decision for him and his family."

Jets HC Robert Saleh not distracted by Haason Reddick's trade demand

Elsewhere, head coach Robert Saleh is not one to be distracted by Haason Reddick's trade demand. He still has CJ Mosley and Quincy Williams at his disposal, plus he can either move Jermaine Johnson II back in from the line or promote sophomore Zaire Barnes.

His comments on the situation reflected this thinking:

"It's not frustrating because I don't control it. But we're excited about our group. We're still looking forward for him to get here when he's ready. When he's ready, we'll embrace him with open arms and we'll attack the moments that he brings us."

Meanwhile, Bleacher Report's Alex Kay wrote that at least one team could be interested in Haason Reddick - the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

It is no secret that the defending NFC South champions desperately need proven linebackers after losing Devin White to the Philadelphia Eagles and Shaquil Barrett to the Miami Dolphins (then retirement).

Franchise veteran Lavonte David and longtime backup Anthony Nelson are the only two members left of their Super Bowl LV-winning squad, and Joe Tryon-Shoyinka and Yaya Diaby are currently dealing with injuries.

Thus, Kay proposed a barter that would send the linebacker to southwest Florida in exchange for a 2025 fourth-round pick.
