Aaron Rodgers replies to fan's question on Davante Adams' plea to join Raiders

Aaron Rodgers' future is being speculated about

Another offseason is starting, another year where we don't know where Aaron Rodgers is going to play next season. He's set to receive an enormous amount of money from the Green Bay Packers if they don't restructure his contract, although this currently seems unlikely.

One possible destination for him is the Las Vegas Raiders, where Rodgers would again play with Davante Adams, his best friend from the Packers' days. Adams was traded because of a contractual dispute following the 2021 season, and the Raiders are set to open a ton of money in the salary cap with a Derek Carr trade.

Fans joked with Aaron Rodgers about a possible reunion with Adams in Las Vegas, to which the quarterback promptly replied:

Fan: "Hey Aaron, I heard Davante (Adams) is looking for a neighbor bro”
Aaron Rodgers: “Tell him to buy me a house with all that money.”

As far as opportunities go, this would be one of a kind for the Raiders, especially playing in a division with Mahomes and Herbert for such a long time. They don't currently have a reliable quarterback option, so getting the quarterback and pairing him with Adams again would be massive boost.

Aaron Rodgers and Davante Adams could pair again in Las Vegas

A few weeks ago, the quarterback spoke publicly about why the receiver wanted to switch teams after the 2021 season, in a YouTube show with Serge Ibaka.

"It was his desire to have a new, fresh start. There was unknown about my future, I didn't know how long I was gonna be here, and I think he loved playing with me, and didn't want to sit locked in a long-term deal here if I wasn't gonna be on the long-term plans with the team - or in my own mind."

He has four years left on his contract with the Packers. The team had a disappointing 2022 season and all options are on the table now, but it seems that the team plans to move on without its star quarterback.

Rodgers doesn't want to be part of a rebuilding team, and Green Bay doesn't have much of an option now because of the salary cap. For that reason, moving to Las Vegas in a trade is a real possibility.
