Jack Bech will don the No. 18 jersey for the Las Vegas Raiders. On Saturday, the NFL released a video in which the rookie wideout spilled the beans on why the number meant a lot to him.

Bech went on to receive some words of encouragement from former Raiders wide receiver Antonio Brown.

"Blessings King," Brown tweeted in response to the video.

Bech wore the No. 18 jersey during his final two years of college football at TCU. He chose the same number for the Raiders in honor of his late brother, Tiger Bech, who watched him play for the Horned Frogs while wearing No. 18. He also earned a second-team All-Big 12 selection in his final collegiate season.

Tiger was one of the 14 people killed in a terrorist attack in New Orleans on New Year's Eve.

Meanwhile, Brown had a brief stint with the then-Oakland Raiders. He was traded to the franchise in March 2019, but an offseason injury forced him to miss 10 out of 11 training camp practices with the Raiders.

Antonio Brown never played a game for the Raiders. On Sept. 7, just before the start of the 2019 season, the wide receiver demanded a release after they voided the guaranteed money in his contract. He signed with the New England Patriots soon after being released by the Raiders.

Brown was part of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers team that won the Super Bowl in 2021. He retired from football in April 2024.

According to reports, Jack Bech is yet to sign his contract with the Raiders. In May, the second-round pick was reportedly offered a four-year, $11.7 million deal that includes a $5.15 million signing bonus.

However, Bech is reportedly holding out for a better deal in terms of guaranteed money.

Bech began his college career at LSU in 2021. He played two seasons with the Tigers before transferring to TCU in 2023.

The Raiders took Bech with the No. 58 pick in this year's NFL draft.
