As Snoop Huntley is well aware, Skylar Thompson is no longer guaranteed to start for the entire duration of Tua Tagovailoa's injury. According to Tom Pelissero, the Dolphins added Huntley to the team.
The news was somewhat polarizing to fans, with some pumping their fists in excitement. Others were noticeably less excited about the news. Here's a look at what is being said online.
"Great news for Snoop. After this weeks loss to the Raiders probably better for him to get out of Baltimore. He’s a better option than Skylar Thompson in my book. Plus I’m sure he’s happy to be in Miami," one fan posted.

"Good pickup for the Dolphins," one fan said.
"WE ARE SO BACK," another said enthusiastically.
Some fans were hesitant to buy in on the new quarterback.
"Mid player," one said.
"Disaster," another fan said.
"Walmart Lamar Jackson," another called him.
Thompson is expected to start this week, according to Pelissero, but no more guarantees are made. The Dolphins face the Seahawks, who are 2-0 to begin the Mike Macdonald era. The insider also stated that Huntley "could be a factor in the coming weeks."
Snoop Huntley lands second career NFL job
After waiting nearly the entirety of the 2024 calendar year to get his foot back in the door, Huntley has finally found a home. The quarterback had been with the Baltimore Ravens since 2020. In his time with the Ravens, he played in two postseason games.
In his time with the Ravens, he went 3-6 in the regular season and 0-1 in the playoffs. Huntley has been viewed as a player with Lamar Jackson-esque qualities but a bit more unrefined in his abilities. Huntley has thrown for eight touchdowns and seven interceptions in his regular-season career. He has earned 509 rushing yards and three touchdowns.
Huntley's addition sets up a potential mid-season quarterback competition for starting roles as Tua Tagovailoa weighs his options. Tagovailoa may return to the fold before the team gets a settled answer, however.
On the other hand, considering his injury history, some believe Tagovailoa may potentially miss the rest of the season. Either way, this is an opportunity for Snoop Huntley to capitalize on.
If he can put out some good tape in whatever snaps he gets, it could get him a much more secure position in the league going forward, even if it isn't with the Miami Dolphins long-term. At just 26, Huntley likely has at least a decade of time he can give to the league. Will teams allow Snoop Huntley to do so?
