New England Patriots head coach Bill Belichick has been coaching the team for over 20 years and has guided many legends such as Tom Brady, Rob Gronkowski, Richard Seymour, and many more.

Before joining the Patriots, he coached with the New York Giants as a defensive coordinator and even spent some time with the legendary Lawrence Taylor.

While Belichick has a relatively young NFL team right now, he compared one of his current players to legends such as Brady and Taylor.

On the NBC Broadcast, analyst and former coach Jason Garrett talked about how Bill Belichick raved about the second-year running back Rhamondre Stevenson. He compared Stevenson's quick development and work ethic to the past legends.

Garrett said:

"It was incredible. He went on and on and on. ... He talked about Rhamondre for about 15 minutes. He compared his development to Tom Brady and Lawrence Taylor."

Stevenson was selected by the Patriots in the fourth round of the 2021 draft last year.

He was barely used for the first eight weeks of last season before having a breakout game in week 8 where he recorded 106 all-purpose yards, including a 41-yard reception.

He finished his rookie campaign with 133 carries, 606 yards, five rushing touchdowns, 14 receptions and 123 yards. Through the past 10 games this season, he has 151 carries, 680 yards, four rushing touchdowns, 50 receptions, 359 yards, and a touchdown.

With Damien Harris hurt, Stevenson will receive more of a work load the next few weeks.

Bill Belichick and the New England Patriots are fighting for a playoff spot in AFC East

For years, Bill Belichick and the New England Patriots have dominated the AFC East.

Through 11 weeks of the 2022 season, they sit in last place in the division despite having a 6-5 record. They played their week 12 game on Thanksgiving a few days ago and lost to the Minnesota Vikings, 33-26. Buffalo also played on Thanksgiving, defeating the Detroit Lions.

The AFC East is certainly one of the best divisions in football right now. Every single team has a winning record and are only within a few games of one another.

The 7-3 Dolphins have a favorable matchup vs. the Houston Texans on Sunday, as do the New York Jets vs. the Chicago Bears. It will most likely come down to the last game of the season for the winner to be crowned in the AFC East.
