Bill Belichick savagely dismisses questions about Tom Brady's latest venture

Bill Belichick and Tom Brady have a long relationship, but that apparently doesn't mean Belichick has much care for anything outside of football. Brady has been very involved off the field, but Belichick is all business.

When asked about Brady's new movie, which stars Sally Field, Lily Tomlin and more, Belichick gave a typical response.

The legendary head coach was asked whether or not he was asked to be in the movie (which centers around a few older women traveling cross-country to watch Brady and the New England Patriots play in the Super Bowl). Here's what he said:

"I'll leave that to Tom. I'm not gonna get involved with anything he does. Whatever comments there are to be made, they should be made by him, not by somebody else. Thanks for asking."

Belichick rarely talks to the media and if he ever does, it almost always involves football. He hardly ever divulges anything or delves into off-field conversations, so this answer is hardly a surprise.

However, given the response, it seems as if Brady did not ask his former head coach to join the movie's star-studded roster. At the very least, Belichick isn't interested in doing so, which is also not very surprising.

Could Tom Brady and Bill Belichick reunite?

Tom Brady is set to become a free agent at the end of the season, just three years after he left the New England Patriots. He could retire, especially since he did so last offseason. However, he doesn't seem to be heading down that road.

Despite clinching the playoffs yesterday, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers are bad and probably don't have much chance of retaining their quarterback. Brady has a lot of options, including the Las Vegas Raiders, Miami Dolphins and San Francisco 49ers. All of these teams would jump at the chance to add him.

NFL insiders believe there's also a chance Brady will return home to New England to play for Belichick again. They have a less than desirable offense, but it'd be hard to pass up the chance to end his career where it began.
