Fresh off that trade, a new Bradley Chubb contract appears to have been inked, with the former Bronco getting paid and then some.

Less than two days after the blockbuster trade, Miami and Chubb agreed to terms on a long-term deal.

Bradley Chubb's previous contract at Denver Broncos dwarfed by Miami deal
The sum is a massive step up from his rookie contract, which came in at $6.8 million a year.
A deal was expected to get done sooner rather than later as Chubb was set to become a free agent in the 2023 off-season.
Usually when a team acquires a star player during their contract year for a big trade, they sign them to a long-term deal during or shortly after the trade is official.
As for general manager Chris Grier and the Dolphins, they got the deal done early and locked up their star linebacker for five more seasons.
